Photo jourlist dies in road accident at Kaliabor

KALIABOR/ TEZPUR, Nov 28: A photo jourlist of an electronic news channel was killed in a road accident at Kaliabar Chariali under Samaguri Police Station in gaon district on Tuesday morning. Apurba Patangia, photo jourlist of an electronic news channel, who was coming from gaon on a motorcycle, collided head-on with an oil tanker. Initially though he was taken to Jakhalabandha Hospital for immediate treatment and later on he was sent to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.  He died on the way to Guwahati.

The registration numbers of the oil tanker and the motorcycle involved in the accident are NL 01 AA 5261 and AS 12 G 71 42 respectively. He leaves behind his mother and elder sister. Kaliabor Press Club, Sonitpur Press Club, All Assam Jourlist Union, AASU, AJYCP and other organizations expressed grief as his demise.
