Physician Manik Dutta remembered

GUWAHATI, September 3: Renowned Ayurvedic physician late Manik Chandra Dutta was remembered in his third death anniversary in a programme held at Patarkuchi ME School in Guwahati recently, stated a press release. Speaking on the occasion, former MP Arun Kumar Sarma said that Dr Dutta had the ability to evolve several techniques to diagnose and treat even very chronic and complicated cases. Presiding over the event, Professor Kamini Mohan Sarma highlighted the philanthropic activities of late Dutta, who dedicated his life for the welfare of the poor people. Dutta offered free-treatment to a large number of poor people during his life-time.  He also recalled his contribution made to the Govt Ayurvedic College Hospital as its Superintendant.  Speaking on the occasion , Bhrigu Kumar Dutta, social worker and able son of late Dutta, said about the disciplined life of his father. “His punctuality and dedication should be a source of inspiration for the new generation,” he said. The programme was also attended by late Dutta’s wife Purnima Dutta , businessman Madan Ch Mahanta, social worker Dibandhu Das and Dr Dwipendra th.
