Physician offers fincial assistance to young artist

From our Correspondent

MANGALDAI, July 27: Ajit Bania –a young budding artist and sculptor of Kalitapara in Mangaldai - even after completion of his BFA has been finding it hard to take part in an intertiol exhibition of arts and sculptures to be held in Nepal on August 3 only due to his poor fincial background.

His father, a grade IV employee of a school in the locality, could not offer any fincial assistance to fulfil the dream of his son. Ajit Bania, though has already earned a high appreciation for his creations in several exhibitions held in New Delhi and Mumbai. He tried to make up the minimum expenditure for his participation in the exhibition in Nepal but had to return empty-handed in every attempt.

However, bringing a hope of ray to this young talent of the district, eminent physician, composer and poet of Mangaldai, Dr. Mril Choudhury and his wife Mira Choudhury offered a helping hand. As per the initiative of media person Mayukh Goswami, Dr. Choudhury on Wednesday morning invited Ajit Bania to his residence and offered an amount along with a phulam Bihuwan as a token of love and cooperation which has brought a smile to the face of Ajit Bania.
