Physicians' body condemns attack on gyecologist

Dibrugarh, June 17: The members of Dibrugarh Obstetrics and Gynecology Society (D&OGS) expressed their deep condolences on the death of a patient at TATA Referrals Hospital at Chabua on June 12.  

At the same breath, the members also strongly condemned the assault on the senior Gynecologist, Dr Aizaz Hussain, inside the hospital by the attendants of the patient following death of the patient.

The anguish members of the society have submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanding an urgent action against all those involved in the assault on duty doctor and on the damage to the hospital property. The president and Secretary of the Association, referring the Notice of Violence and Damage to property Act 2011 and urged upon the District administration to take immediate action against all those involved in the violence.
