PIB to organize day-long jourlist workshop

Dibrugarh, Dec 20: The Press Information Bureau (PIB), under its initiative and in joint collaboration with the district administration, will organize a day-long jourlist workshop at the training hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on December 22.

As stated in a DIPRO press communiqué, the key purpose of the jourlist workshop would be to spread awareness among the common masses on the policies, agenda and schemes of the government.  In addition to this, discussion will also be held in the workshop on the widespread topics of demonetization, Swaach Bharat Mission and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yoja.

The draft programme schedule of the jourlist workshop includes welcome address to be delivered by Deputy Director of PIB, Guwahati; presentation on PIB by Senior PIB Officer, Guwahati ; speech on  media activities in the district  by the District Information and Public Relation Officer (DIPRO), Dibrugarh ; iugural speech to be given by Deputy Commissioner of the district and later vote of thanks will be delivered by Officer of PIB, Guwahati.

Later, in the first technical session titled ‘PIB- Media Interface’, talks on Effective Information Flow from PIB and role of jourlists in development communication by Senior PIB Officer , Guwahati and role of jourlists in effective communication in rural areas by senior jourlists, Dibrugarh, role of electronic media in effectiveness communication by senior  jourlist , Dibrugarh,  together with question and answer sessions , will be held. Soon after, in the second technical session a panel discussion on excellence in implementation flagship programme will kick off wherein lecture will be delivered by senior officer of the district administration on the topic of Swaach Bharat Mission. A senior officer of State Bank of India (SBI), Dibrugarh will talk on Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yoja and demonetization.

The workshop will wind off with a question and answer session and collection of feedback after which the vote of thanks will be offered.
