Pig-rearing scheme launched

GAURISAGAR, May 22: Jorhat MP Kamakhya Prasad Tassa iugurated the Bakal Adarsha Gahari Palan Achani (pig rearing scheme) at zira in Sivasagar district on Sunday. The scheme has been  launched under the initiative and guidance of prominent and popular veteriry surgeon Dr. Jagaddish Barman. Iugurating the scheme, MP Tassa urged upon the gathering to take up rearing of  duck, poultry and pig for self-dependency. He also lauded the effort of Dr. Barman for taking up such a livelihood scheme in a remote village. He assured that if the scheme was successful, in future he would provide help for its future extension.
