Pique returns to Barcelo squad, Vidal out

Barcelo, April 23: Barcelo head coach Luis Enrique excluded Aleix Vidal from the football squad called up for Saturday's La Liga clash against Sporting Gijon at the Camp Nou, while defender Gerard Pique returned to the list.

Vidal was excluded for the second La Liga game in a row, after he missed Barcelo's last 8-0 victory over Deportivo La Coru, while Pique was out for suspension, reports Efe.

Injured Thomas Vermaelen, Jeremy Mathieu and Sandro Ramirez will also miss the Sporting game, as well as Jordi Masip and Douglas, who will be out due to the coach's decision. Barcelo lead La Liga standings with 79 points, while Sporting Gijon are in 18th place with 32 points. IANS
