Pistol, live bullets, IED recovered at Tuktuki, one detained

Batadrava, Feb 8: Sensation continues to prevail in Dhing area since the last three days as pistols, live bullets, gredes, IEDs are being recovered from different places across Dhing every day.  On Tuesday night, one .22 mm pistol, five rounds live bullets and one IED were recovered from Tuktuki under Dhing police station in a joint operation launched by 34 CRPF Batellion Mahkhuli, gaon and Dhing Police. The CRPF and police team also detained a man identified as Ali Akbar in this regard.  Based on secret information, the operation was conducted, sources said. The CRPF-police team searched Ali Akbar’s house and found pistol, live rounds and explosive in a room. The police have not been able to clarify for what purpose the huge cache of explosives was kept and by whom.  However, the police have lodged a case and are investigating the whole matter. Just a day before a 7.56 mm pistol, one magazine, three live rounds and two hand-made gredes were recovered from a house of Dhupaguri area under Dhing police station in a joint operation conducted by a team of 20th Assam Rifles, Tezpur  and Dhing police. The police also detained one man med Emdadul Haque alias Bulbul in this regard.
