Pitiable condition of Golaghat- Rongajan road irks passengers

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), Dec 13: Passengers, particularly from Dimapur, Sarupathar, Bokakhat, gaon and Guwahati, travel to Golaghat town with great risk as the condition of the Golaghat-Rongajan connecting PWD road at many places has been pitiable since the past several months. The road is full of potholes. This has caused serious problem for vehicles drivers and pedestrians and is also leading to heavy traffic movement. Due to pathetic condition of the road, many minor road accidents have taken place on this road. The conscious people of the area said that the State Government as well as the PWD have shown no interest to repair the road. They alleged that the authority concerned has turned a blind eye to such a genuine issue. Notably, elections are over and the season of promises has also gone with the wind.
