SHILLONG, Sept 3: The United Democratic Party (UDP) is contemplating to issue a party ticket to Pius Marwein (30) to contest the upcoming 2018 Assembly polls against Martin M Danggo, MLA of Ranikor constituency and current PWD Minister in the Congress-led MUA-II government. It was due to the efforts put in by Marwein that the party once again grew in strength in Ranikor constituency after the demise of late Probin K Raswai, president of UDP, Ranikor circle.According to sources within the party, the UDP will be issuing ticket from Ranikor constituency to Pius Marwein to contest the 2018 polls.
