Piyush Goel draws flak for comment on NHPC dam

Dibrugarh, April 11: The Dibrugarh district committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chattra Parishad (AJYCP) on Tuesday burnt the effigy of Union Power Minister, Piyush Goel , protesting against his statement of completing the NHPC dam  within the stipulated time frame.  The district committee members condemned the statement of Goel which according to them, was totally a decision based on profit earning, targeted at destroying the interest of the people of Assam. The AJYCP district committee president,Girin Chetia and secretary Rajiv Gogoi, through a press release, threatened to intensify their protest if the government failed to put an indefinite check on the ongoing construction  work of NHPC dam.
