Plantation drive by Ghiladhari AASU

Golaghat, April 17: On the first day of Assamese new year, All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) Ghiladhari Regiol Unit conducted a plantation drive at Sri Sri Athkheliya amghar in Golaghat. The student organization has been doing plantation since 2014 under its Seuji Athkheliya programme. Ghiladhari AASU president and general secretary in a press release stated that this year they had planted 1,000 plants in the greater Athkheliya region and they appealed to the government to take initiative to make Athkheliya a tourist spot, to set up a branch of a tiolized bank and a college, and to upgrade the primary health centre to a 30-bedded hospital.
