Plantation drive in Margherita

MARGHERITA, Aug 2: Under the noble initiative of Bipul Bora, Divisiol Forest Officer of Digboi Forest Division, and Dhruba Dutta, Forest Range Officer of Margherita East Range forest office, a plantation drive started from Tuesday at Margherita East Range forest office premises.

Each staff of Margherita East Range forest office will plant 100 saplings and look after the saplings till they become mature, said Dhruba Dutta, Forest Range officer of Margherita East Range forest office. This noble initiative has been taken up as a sapling nursery is needed in Margherita East Range forest office, he added.
