Plantation drive in Udalguri

UDALGURI, Aug 4: A plantation drive was organised at SSB sector headquarters (Debendragar) under the aegis of Sandiksha, the SSB Wives Welfare Association. President of Sandiksha Bezpara Regiol Committee, Soli Mallik&nbsp; and 68 th Bn Debendragar, and other executive members, members of Sandiksha took a keen interest to make the earth green and clean environment. DIG A K Mallik, Commandant of 68th Bn officers A K Thakur , personnel of sector headquarter&nbsp; of Bezpara and 68 th Bn Debendragar also took part in this plantation drive. Around 480 saplings of Simal, Ajar, Ashoka, Arjun, Sagwn, Jamun were planted in and around the firing range and training ground at Debendragar. The nurseries were provided by Divisiol Forest Officer Sonitpur division, under social forestry development programme. This was stated by N C Sharma, the assistant publicity officer of SSB Sector Headquarters, Bezpara. </p>
