Plantation drive launched in Howraghat school

HOWRAGHAT, June 8: Howraghat State Bank of India (SBI), under the initiative of Sujit Sarkar, Mager, Howraghat branch, planted a numbers of tress around the Howraghat Higher Secondary School campus on Wednesday. Students and teachers of Howraghat Higher Secondary School also joined in the plantation drive and planted several saplings around the school campus. While interacting with the hundreds of students assembled, Sujit Sarkar, said that planting trees would help in the fight against global climate change, as well as provided a host of wider environmental and socio-economic benefits. Sarkar urged students to play a proactive role in order to make the environment green so that environmental degradation could be assuaged.
