Plastic eggs: Searches conducted in Tripura

Agartala, April 4: Amid rumours gripped Kolkata and other markets in West Bengal, Agartala Municipal Corporation has launched a drive against reported selling of ‘plastic eggs’ in the markets of Agartala on Monday.  It is learnt that the AMC officials specially searched the go downs where eggs imported from outside the state specially Andhra Pradesh are stored. They found no suspicious thing but collected some samples and send them to the food testing laboratory of the Health Department for testing.  The commissioner of the AMC Debapriya Bardhan said if any spurious thing is found during the testing appropriate action will be taken against the concerned trades.
