Platinum jubilee celebration of girls' high school

Goalpara, October 17: The Central Girls’ High School (CGHS), Goalpara, is all set to observe the closing ceremony of its platinum jubilee on October 30 and November 1. The school was established in the year 1939 and completed 75 years in 2014. As such, the official celebration in the school begun last year. However, the closing of the platinum jubilee will be marked by semirs, cultural programmes, interactions and open session. Noted litterateur Homen Borgohain, Dr Dinesh Boishya and artist Ranu Boishya will be present in the open session on  November 1. Executive president of organizing committee, Sozimuddin Ahmed and secretary Karabi Saikia have appealed the people of Goalpara to participate and cooperate in the platinum jubilee celebration.
