Play pivotal role for change, Amit Shah to intellectuals

 From a correspondent

Agartala, Jan 8: BJP tiol president Amit Shah exhorted the intellectuals of Tripura to play a pivotal role in bringing about changes for the betterment of Tripura.
Addressing a semir organized by Manthan, a social organization, on ‘Challenges before tion Building’ on Sunday, he said the biggest challenge before the tion was bringing a change in the developmental attitude and that has been accomplished by the party.  Over the past three years the entire atmosphere has changed and the country is marching ahead in all fronts.
Shah said, however, in some areas there are some stumbling blocks that hinders the tion in marching forward and the Left Front government of Tripura is one of them.
Despite being in power for over 25 years uninterruptedly the CPI (M) failed in providing minimum relief to the people of Tripura.
“Now time has come to remove this block and the intellectuals can play a vital role in this process. Your duty doesn’t end just in casting the vote. You also have to take the lead in building popular opinion,” he said.
He urged the intellectuals to introspect the reasons as to why the people are lagging behind where the left forces are strong and the people are falling prey to the political and ideological strife and why political killings are more in Tripura?
He lambasted the Left Front government in Tripura for their policy of keeping people poor and dependent on government and urged the intellectuals to apprise people of the party’s wrong policies.
