Plea over renewal of permits

Silchar, Jan 27: Presidents and general secretaries of All Cachar Auto Rickshaw Owners’ Associations Coordition Committee, Silchar, have urged upon the District Transport Officer, Cachar, not to renew fitness and permit to anyone who does not have the membership of any one of the 15 Auto Owners’ Associations. There are 15 Auto Owners’ Associations in the district that belongs to the Coordition Committee. These are the Owners’ Associations of Silchar Auto Rickshaw, Soi Anchalik Auto Rickshaw, Silchar Town Auto Rickshaw, BAM Auto Rickshaw, All Katigorah Auto Rickshaw, Kabuganj, Borkhola Auto Rickshaw, Udharbond Auto Rickshaw, Lakhipur Auto Rickshaw, Pailapool Bortol Auto Rickshaw, Bihara Auto Rickshaw, Laburbond Auto Rickshaw, Silchar PMRY Auto Association, Kuarpar Auto Rickshaw and Banskandi Auto Rickshaw. They addressed a letter to the DTO last Wednesday and requested not to renew fitness and permit. It should be mentioned here that the Associations Coordition Committee took a decision, to ply within 10 kms radius from every centre which has been declared by regiol transport authority. The decision was taken at a meeting held on last Sunday.
