Plea to create employment opportunities for SULFA members

JOYSAGAR, March 23:  An important general meeting of the Surrendered ULFA Committee was held in Sivasagar town on Wednesday.
The meeting was organized by the SULFA central committee and was held in Amolapatty Hindu Dharma Sabha amghar auditorium under the chairmanship of central committee general secretary Bijoy Hazarika. Central member Moni Bora explained about the aims and objectives of the meeting. About 150 former rebels took part in the meeting. 
During the discussion they revealed that for lack of jobs and other self-employment opportunities, most of the SULFA members were now facing acute fincial problems. In their resolutions, the SULFA committee pleaded to the State Government to take necessary steps to create employment opportunities for the SULFA members and also to give them first chance in various self- employment industrial projects. They also asked the ULFA (I) c-in-c Paresh Baruah to come forward and take part in talks with the government.
