Plea to make investment in State's agriculture sector

GUWAHATI, April 3: The Vice–Chairman of State Innovation & Transformation Aayog, Assam (SITA) and industrialist Deepak Borthakur has called upon the industrialists from Japan to make investment in the agriculture, horticulture and tea sector of the State. Borthakur made this plea while presiding over the India-Japan partnership meet organized by India Foundation at Kaziranga on March 29 and 30. The meet, which was iugurated by Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal was participated by the delegates of Japan government besides industrialists of the South Asian country. Several top officials of Japan Chamber of Commerce, Asian Development Bank Institute and Niti Ayog also attended the meet. Dipanka Hazarika, the OSD of SITA stated this in a press communiqué.
