Plea to set up CAPF recruitment centre in Aruchal

Itagar, April 2: Aruchal Pradesh Parliamentary Secretary for PHE & Water Supply Kumsi Sidisow has appealed to the Centre for setting up of recruitment centre for all central paramilitary forces in the Himalayan state.
Sidisow, who was addressing the Golden Jubilee celebration of CRPF’s 30th Battalion in Charduar in Assam’s Sonitpur district on Sunday, said that Aruchal needs separate recruitment centers for all Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) in order to benefit the indigenous educated unemployed youths and also because Aruchal Pradesh is a sensitive border state and requires such facility from the Centre.
He said that all the CAPFs need to have their recruitment centre in the state so that the youths of Aruchal and adjoining areas are benefitted and do not need to travel outside the state.
Sidisow also appealed to Chief Minister Pema Khandu to pursue the need of the youths of the state for having a separate recruitment centre with Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, who is also the MP from Aruchal and can better understand the need.
He lauded the role of CRPF in helping maintain security and lots of other activities including those for the cause of the society.
On the occasion, the Parliamentary Secretary iugurated a mela and exhibition stalls, put up by Self Help Groups and wives of security personnel and medical camp besides making a round of weapon demonstration.
A variety of sports contests, followed by cultural night marked the occasion. Later, Sidisow distributed prizes to the winners of several sports contests, a press release said here today.
