PM greets people of galand on Statehood Day

New Delhi, Dec 1: Prime Minister rendra Modi on Thursday wished people of galand on their Statehood Day. “Statehood Day wishes to people of galand, a state known for scenic beauty and talented citizens who will take it to new heights of progress,” said an official release citing Modi.

galand attained statehood with the ectment of the state of galand Act in 1962 by Parliament. The interim body was dissolved on November 30, 1963 and the state of galand was formally iugurated on December 1, 1963. Kohima was declared as the state capital. (IANS)
