PM Modi's effigy burnt in Duliajan

DULIAJAN, January 19:  In protest against Prime Minister rendra Modi’s alleged failure to fulfil the promises he had made before the Lok Sabha polls, activists of Duliajan Anchalik Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (CMSS) burnt the effigy of the Prime Minister on Tuesday near Pepoltol Tili under Duliajan police station.

After burning the effigy of the Prime Minister, the CMSS activists raised slogans against the Central Government and also threatened to launch an agitation if the BJP government failed to solve the illegal influx problems and to stop all dam construction work in the State.

The demonstration was led by Madhurjya Baruah, president of Dibrugarh district committee of CMSS, Pranpratim Dutta, executive member of KMSS, Dibrugarh district committee and Akash Goswami, information and publicity secretary of CMSS, Duliajan regiol committee.
