PM's effigy burnt

Joysagar, June 16: All Assam Krishak Sabha’s Sivasagar District Committee staged a dhar in Station Chariali area of the Town on Thursday protesting against the decisions taken for the farmers  by the  Central Government. They alleged that the BJP led Central Govt. were functioning as an agent of capitalists and are standing against the benefits of poor farmers and labour class across the country. Krishak Sabha also alleged that a large number of farmers of the country had to kill themselves as they were not in a condition to re-pay their debts. After the dhar programme, Krishak Sabha protesters burnt the effigy of Prime Minister rendra Modi in Station Chariali and also submitted a memorandum through the Sivasagar DC to Union Agricultural Minister and the PM.
