PMUY awareness camp-cum-safety clinic held in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, March 8: A mega Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yoja (PMUY) awareness camp-cum-safety clinic was held at D. N. Himatsingka High School field in Kokrajhar coinciding with the Intertiol Women’s Day on Wednesday. State Forest Minister Pramila Rani Brahma attended the programme as chief guest. LPG connections were also handed over to the beneficiaries. Minister Pramila Rani Brahma said that the PMUY was a welfare programme of the Government of India launched by Prime Minister rendra Modi with an aim at replacing the unclean cooking fuel mostly used in rural India with clean and more efficient LPG.
