Poet Haribhakta Katuwal remembered

Biswanath Chariali, July 3: Haribhakta Katuwal was remembered at Samardalani, Nagshanker in Biswanath district on the occasion of his 84th birth anniversary under the aegis of Biswanath District Nepali Sahitya Sabha in association with its Samardalani branch. The programme commenced with lighting the earthen lamp and paying floral tributes to the portrait of the poet at Dakhin Nagshanker High School. A meeting was held on the occasion with Hema Kumar Gautam, the working president, in the chair while the proceedings were conducted by Hemanta Bhattarai. Taking part as the chief guest in the programme, eminent Nepali writer Dr Khemraj Nepal highlighted the life and works of Haribhakta Katuwal. A ghazal collection Rako composed by Ram Dahal was released in the meeting. Around 30 poets recited poems while a number of people from different fields were felicitated for their excellence.
