Poets' meet held at Bhergaon

TANGLA, August 2: A poets’ meet of greater Tangla area titled Sawur Bukusat Kabi Kantha was organized under the aegis of Bhergaon Subduvision Sambay Sahitya Mancha at the Bhergaon Press Club premises recently. The  programme, which commenced with the lighting of ceremonial  lamp by Samal Daimary, president Bhergaon regiol ABSU, was conducted by Jyoti Prasad Kalita. Dr. Kailash Ch. Chamuah attended the programme as critic of the poems. The programme was earlier iugurated by noted writer and poet Ranji Saikia Deka. Noted persons of the area like Manorama Borah, Balendra Rabha, Ganesh Deka, Motilal Basumatary, Mohit Musahary, Praneswar Borrzy, among others were present on the occasion. The programme was a lively one with the recitation of the poems by Ganesh Deka, Chidanda Sharma, Partha Pratim Pathak, Apar Rabha, Kalyan Rabha, Prafulla Boro, Suren Mohan Rabha, Motilal Basumatary, Manorama Borah, Debajit Sharma, Rani, Ghashyam Rabha and Uttam Rabha.
