Police announce reward in Juid’s killing

The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Monday announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for information leading to those who killed a young Muslim man, Juid, on a moving train on June 22. The GRP said it was looking for those who stabbed the 19-year-old to death on a Mathura-bound train after a scuffle. “The me and identity of the person who will provide any information and help the GRP in arresting the main culprit will be kept secret,” a GRP announcement said. A case of murder and other sections of the Indian Pel Code has been registered against unknown persons at the GRP Faridabad station. Police have arrested five people allegedly involved in Juid’s killing and for instigating passengers to attack the deceased and four others. (IANS)
