SHILLONG, April 19: In view of the rampant theft of Bolero Campers (Pick-up Trucks), the police have advised owners to be more cautious. The police have advised owners and drivers to park their vehicles in secured places and keep their gates locked. Vehicles should not be left parked on the roadside. “They should install anti-theft devices which are easily available and affordable in the market,” Vivek Syiem, Superintendent of Police (SP) City said. He also urged owners not to leave registration papers and other documents inside the car when it is parked so as to facilitate the car thieves to easily get through check points. He said people should immediately inform Police Control Room on phone No. 2222277 if vehicle found missing.
