Police constable killed in mishap

BISHWATH CHARIALI, April 19: An Assam police constable died on the spot on Friday morning when a Scorpio bearing registration no AS- 23, J- 7011, where he was travelling, fell into a ditch at Bishwath Chariali in Sonitpur district. Police said the victim, who worked at Fourth Assam Police Battalion, was coming to Itangar from Tinsukia in the Scorpio. The victim has been identified as Gautam Gogoi who is a resident of Lohari Kachari village of Tinsukia. The source also said that he went to his home in Bihu vacation and coming to Itagar with his brother in some business related works.
