Police exhume girl's body

SHILLONG, February 27: Police on Friday exhumed the body of a seven year old girl after getting confirmation that the girl was sexually assaulted by a relative even as the police arrested the accused. Earlier, there were reports that the girl succumbed to her injuries after the branch of a tree reportedly fell on her at Mawlai Kynton Massar in the city on February 13. On Friday, two weeks after her death the body was exhumed at Mawlai Mawroh cemetery.
