Police issue guidelines to city hotels

SHILLONG, Jan 10: The boom of suspected sex prompted the police to bring about an orientation to the hoteliers in Shillong. In the aftermath of running of an alleged sexual racket within Shillong, SP (City) Vivek Syiem categorically stated, “Apart from the CCTVs, check the credentials of the people, who check into the hotels”. “Tourism is booming but don’t let sex be another exquisite talks about our state,” stated Syiem, even as he underscored on the importance of making Shilong more vibrant in pursuing the industry.

The SP in a nutshell said that hoteliers cannot go beyond the limit that is solicited.
