Police official killed in road mishap

Dibrugarh, June 6: One person was killed on the spot in a road mishap that occurred at Panitola on Monday night. The deceased was later identified as Pradumnya Changmai, a police official and second son of senior jourlist, writer and resident of Mohanbari, Uma Kanta Changmai.

The deceased Pradumnya Changmai, who was stationed at Tinsukia Police Station, was on his way home in Mohanbari, when he was hit by a Winger from the opposite direction and was later dragged away by a speeding three- wheeler. Changmai  is survived by two sons, besides his wife and parents. His death was condoled by Dibrugarh District Jourlist Association (DDJA), Greater Dibrugarh Press Club and Lahowal Press Club, among others.
