Police recovers decomposed body of missing girl

Itagar, August 25: Capital police on Monday recovered the decomposed body of 20-year-old girl – Lobsang Chotten, who went missing on August 18 last when she was on her way back to home from a tuition class. The body was found hanging in a kucha (OBT) house near 6 Kilo, Capital SP Devender Arya informed. He said the body which was found in hanging position was totally decomposed. Police also recovered a suicide note along with a cell phone, umbrella and a bag. The deceased hails from Tawang, the SP said adding a case has been registered at Itagar Women Police Station and the body was sent for post mortem. Meanwhile, the Itagar Buddhist Cultural Society (IBCS) has expressed deep shock over the sudden and untimely demise of Chotten, whose lifeless body was found after five days near 6-miles here, in an abandoned house. Describing the death as ‘unfortute’ and ‘great loss’ to the society, IBCS president Som Tenzing stated that such incident should not be repeated.

He on behalf of the Society as well as family members expressed deep gratitude to one and all for their prayers and untiring efforts to find her through various means. Tenzing also called upon the people to keep extending supports to each in such crucial junctures. IBSC prayed to the almighty god for eterl peace of the departed soul and also give strength to the family member to bear the irreparable loss.
