SHILLONG, February 25: The Shillong City Police has taken a strong note on the unscrupulous exploits made by the tourist taxi drivers, even as they sought the co-operation of the public in catching them. It has come to the notice of Shillong Traffic Police that Tourist Taxis coming to Shillong from Guwahati are refusing to drop passengers to Kyndailad and also demand extra charge if the passengers insist. Based on the complaints, the Superintendent of Police (SP) East Khasi Hills MH Kharkrang on Wednesday stated that All Tourist Taxis are reminded that they should drop passengers up to Kyndailad and then park in their desigted parking lot.
