Police warn citizens against abductors

SHILLONG, July 1: The East Khasi Hills police have warned citizens not to fall prey to crimils from Assam who are luring people to buy gold at cheap rates. According to the SP (City) Vivek Syiem these callers are crimils whose intention is to convince the person or intending buyer. The SP (City) said that information has been received that there are certain persons who call up the public over phone claiming that they are from Lakhimpur District, Assam who have found gold which they are ready to offer for sale at a very cheap price. He informed that the Meghalaya police have taken up the matter with Assam Police for bbing the culprits.
