Police yet to ascertain cause of student's suicide bid

Silchar, Sept 15: Gaurav Sutradhar alias Guddu (20), a 3rd semester student of Radhamadhab College and a resident of Thakur lane, Ashram road of this town, jumped off a 2 storey building terrace on Wednesday. He was staying at his materl uncle’s house with his mother Sabita Sutradhar. He had a fall out with his father. Unfortutely, his two materl uncles did not find an ambulance on time and called a 108 emergency service ambulance. He was admitted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital at around 4.30 pm. Doctors said that his chest, waist and knees have been badly injured. Presently, he is fighting hard with death.

 Talking to The Sentinel on Thursday, Rakesh Roushan, IPS, Superintendent of Police said, “Though some people are of the opinion that he is a victim of Blue Whale game, our initial investigations reveal that it is matter of love. But at present, it will be too early to arrive at any conclusion. We have seized his cell phone. Since his cell phone has been damaged, we are sending it to the Forensic Department in Kolkata.”
