Police’s appeal to public

SHILLONG, March 10: At a time when fear has gripped certain parts of the city on a rumour that a Maruti Van has been attempting to kidp children, the Police on Friday has appealed that the public should not pay heed to such report circulated in social networking apps. “We would like to inform the general public that a Whatsapp has been widely circulated that one white Maruti Van was trying to kidp children from certain localities in Shillong City, but till now no such type of complaints has been received by the Police,” Superintendent of Police (SP) East Khasi Hill, M Kharkrang said.
