KOKRAJHAR, February 22: As part of the goodwill mission for people of remote places, the 16th Bn.SSB conducted reach-out programme for people of vulnerable areas, especially the border villages along the Indo-Bhutan border where government schemes hardly reach. SSB sources said the local border people had problems getting access to government policies and schemes and therefore the SSB has been going into the outskirts to reach out to the people there. A team of 16th Bn. SSB, Ranighuli visited those areas and made sure that children got polio drops under the supervision of Dr. Kuldeep Singh Shekhawat, Assistant Commandant (Medical). The polio camp was organized in the Indo- Bhutan border village area as well as in the nearby village area of Bn. Head Quarter on Sunday. Sources said the programme would continue for three days in the border area so that more and more children get immunized. Till now, a total of 1,999 children have been immunized.
