Political leaders come to the aid of Keshab Chandra Deka's family

MANGALDAI, Dec 17: A team of Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) led by Executive Member of BTC Jagadish Sarkar and Kalaigaon legislator Maheswar Boro on Sunday evening, as a mark of solidarity and honour to their departed leader, former MCLA of AGP from Mudoibori constituency of BTC and former AASU leader, Keshab Chandra Deka, offered an amount as a fincial assistance to Rinti Moni Deka, wife of Keshab Chandra Deka at her residence at Milanpur here in Mangaldai.

Keshab Chandra Deka breathed his last on December 10 following high blood pressure. They also assured to extend all possible help and assistance to the family members of Keshab Chandra Deka.

On the other hand, former Minister Dr. Zoii th Sarma also visited the grief-stricken family members recently and expressed his profound shock over the demise of the former dedicated AASU leader Keshab Chandra Deka who later got elected to the first Council assembly of BTC in 2005 as the AGP candidate from Mudoibori constituency. However, in 2015 Keshab Chandra Deka joined the BPF and played a vital role in strengthening the organizing activities of the BPF. Former Revenue Minister Dr. Sarma also announced to take the responsibility for continuing the school education of both the children of Deka- Deba Kanya Kashyap of Class VI and Jok Nibir Kashyap of Class I - free of any cost in Maharishi Vidyalaya, Mangaldai.
