Political Parties of India Organize A Meeting To Highlight Regional Issues

DOOMDOOMA: To highlight the regional issues as national issues in order to live up to the expectation and aspirations of the people living in different parts of India, Indian Regional Parties Front (IRPF), a coalition of 115 political parties of India, organized a meeting on Wednesday at the head office premises of Assam Drishti Party situated at Pathargaon, Doomdooma to chalk out its plan of action.

Assam Drishti Party which is an important allied partner of IRPF in Assam agreed to work together with them jointly on the basis of a common minimum programme (CMP). However, at present, the prime concern of IRPF would be to stop fascist, communal and divisive forces from grabbing the power in the upcoming Parliamentary Election, 2019. On the other hand the issues sorted out for CMP in Assam are - to oppose the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, to include the six ethnic groups of Assam in the sixth schedule of the Constitution, to demand the Government to make public the caste census and the reservation for the Other Backward Classes(OBC) must be given in accordance with the recommendation of Mandal commission.
