Poll related expenditure of candidates examined

TINSUKIA, March 26: The Expenditure Observer for 122 Tinsukia, 123 Digboi and 125 Doomdooma LACs, KR Abhisekanda Rao examined poll related expenditure of different political parties and independent candidates. However, gen Dhekial Phukan, NCP candidate from Digboi LAC, Bhaba Kanta Chutia, an Independent candidate contesting from both Digboi and Doomdooma LACs, Md Isab Hussain, an Independent and Sarfaraj Alam of RSC from Doomdooma did not submit their expenditure statements. They have been advised to submit the same on March 28, failing which legal action will be initiated against them as per PR Act of 1951 under section 77, stated a DIPR Tinsukia press release.
