Goalpara, March 19: The 200-bedded Bhalukdubi Civil Hospital in Goalpara which won a tiol award recently, has failed to continue its quality service off late. Amid the allegations like doctors arriving late for duty and money demanded from patients coming for delivery, a new allegation has come up against this hospital in lower Assam.  According to the information, the hospital authority is providing poor laundry service to the patients. The clothes like bed sheets and blankets supplied to the patients are not properly washed. Moreover, some bed sheets are not changed for 2-3 days. Even there are unconfirmed reports that some patients from rural areas are provided with clothes already used by other patients.  On the other hand, the hospital authority is making a handsome expenditure in the me of laundry service. For washing a single bed sheet, Rs 40 rupees is paid for washing the bed sheet and Rs 20 is paid to the service provider.
