Power disruption in Barapani-harlagun

ITAGAR, July 12:Power supply to Barapani and nearby areas of harlagun will remain disrupted for an indefinite period due to major damage caused to the 500kva 11/ 415 kva transformer of Barapani substation on Sunday evening. Burning of HT/LT coils due to overloading reportedly caused damage to the transformer, according to sources in the Nirjuli Electric Division. The Executive Engineer has asked the local people to bear with the power disruption.
