Power failure hits Mangaldai

MANGLADAI, July 15: The public life in Mangaldai town went almost out of gear today due to excessive heat followed by severe power cut without any prior public announcement by the authority of the Mangaldai Sub Division of the APDCL.  Just as the mercury level touches 36/37 degree celsius load shedding started at around 11 am and it almost continued for about 8 hours at a stretch until it was restored at around 6-15  in the evening . The massive power cut made life of people both outside and inside the house measurable. The services of bank, postal service, internet, health institutions, media and other business establishments are stated to be affected. Meanwhile the reason of such unprecedented power cut during an official working day could not be ascertained as the officials of APDCL at Mangaldai Sub Division were not available despite repeated attempts.
