PPA a 'transit camp' of legislators: APCC

From Our Correspondent
Itagar, Nov 3: The Aruchal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has said that the People’s Party of Aruchal (PPA) seems to have become a transit camp for the legislators in the state. Taking a jab at the party, the APCC in a press statement said that since the 2014 general election, the legislators in the state are shifting their loyalties from one party to another again and again. “Five PPA legislators joined Congress and later 30 Congress legislators joined PPA. After the Supreme Court’s historic verdict, all the legislators shifted from PPA to INC again. And, again 43 Congress MLAs joined in PPA,” the party said. “Instead of blaming Congress, PPA could have filed their own candidate in the by- election instead of supporting BJP candidate which clearly indicates that their integrity is doubtful,” the statement said. Terming it very unfortute the non-approval of VRS request of the Congress Party candidate, the APCC alleged that it was an intentiol tactics of the PPA and BJP to keep the party candidate out of the election fray with the fear of losing the seat.
