PPA leaders meet state BJP chief

Itagar, June 2: The leaders of Peoples Party of Aruchal (PPA) on Thursday met state BJP President Tapir Gao at his residence and discussed issues related to state. The team members – PPA Legislature Party leader Takam Pario, PPA President Kafa Bengia, General Secretary Kaling Jerang – also submitted a memorandum on maintaining healthy relation between BJP and PPA, who are partners in the North East Development Alliance (NEDA). After the meeting, Pario informed that as a constituent of NEDA, the PPA would take up some burning issues when BJP President Amit Shah visits Itagar on June 12 and 13. The issues include the defective statehood bill and Article 371, good governce and accountability, and including them in Shah’s programme agenda. Pario also said Gao accepted PPA’s support to the state government in state and assured to forward the agenda to Shah for discussion during his visit. Gao confirmed having meet the PPA leaders, who wanted the regiol party’s agenda to be discussed thoroughly with Shah.
