PPA questions BJP’s silence on ‘Mere Vichaar’

Itagar, Feb 26: The People’s Party of Aruchal (PPA) has expressed surprise on the BJP top brasses at the Centre still maintaining stoic silence over the ‘explosive revelations’ made in the 60-page note (Mere Vichaar) left behind by former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul before he committed suicide on August 9 last year.

Raising questions before the BJP high command as to why those politicians, whose mes were found mentioned in ‘Mera Vichaar’, have not yet been directed to step down from their respective posts, the PPA in a press statement said that the stoic silence maintained on the issue by rendra Modi, who always talks of corruption-free India, has put the common public of Aruchal in a big dilemma. “Although the PPA is a partner of the BJP under the North East Democratic Alliance, the party was left with no altertive but to raise the question due to the long silence maintained by the BJP high command over the serious issue”, the press statement read. “Now the ball is in the court of the rendra Modi Government. It is to be seen whether he will keep his pledge for fight against corruption made from the Red Fort in 2015,” the party added.

Further, the PPA claimed that Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chow Mein and Government Spokesperson and Parliamentary Secretary Pasang Dorjee So, whose mes figured in Pul’s 60-page note, were among the key politicians, who have thrived on corruption for their political existence, thereby taking the parasite of corruption deep down into various systems of governce in the state.
