ITAGAR, Dec 23: The People’s Party of Aruchal (PPA) reiterated the party’s appeal for maintaining peaceful coexistence among people of the State. In a party meeting today, PPA Chairman Kamen Ringu appealed to one and all to maintain peaceful coexistence and not to get carried away by emotions raised on political and commul lines. Kahfa Bengia, President of the party said, “Being a senior member representing the Nyishi Elite Society, I request everyone to refrain from making wrong use of the pride, honor and status linked to the ‘Nyishi’ for selfish and shortsighted interest by the ignorant few. “In a pluralistic society like ours, if the society has to be made to exist in a most vibrant and colorful manner, excessive and obsessive promotion of one particular community’s interests could be detrimental to the overall growth of that State or society,” he opined. He further appealed to everybody not to start any bad precedents that can cause disharmony to peaceful coexistence.
